  Dr. Vanesco has been my doctor just over seven years and she has always been fantastic so this year after receiving my reminder that it was time to do my yearly colonoscopy I called in to schedule my appointment and got a recording with a man's voice giving me directions to leave a detailed message along with my full name, date of birth and contact number and I would receive a call back. Three days later I called back and a lady answered I then told her I needed to schedule an appointment for my yearly colonoscopy and she told me that I would have to update my records before an appointment could be set and that they would email me the paperwork to fill out then I could scan and send back or fax back. After I got the six pages of information they wanted filled out. I filled out all the questions answering some questions three times and all of the questions were answered the year before I then went to fax the paperwork to the number that was on my direction sheet but could not get through so I decided to just go by the office and drop it off. After getting to the office and handing the lady my paperwork I was told I could not set an appointment until the doctor had reviewed it to see what my problem was. I told her that I had no problem I was just getting a yearly colonoscopy, she again told me that I could not get an appointment until my doctor had reviewed my problem. It was at that time I decided my problem was the office and the manager that was setting the rules for the office. I then picked up my paper work and left to go find another doctor regretting loosing Dr Vanesco. About fifteen minutes after leaving the office I got a phone call from the guy that I had left my first message with about setting an appointment and he was calling to get me set up to send me the paper work I needed to fill out so I could schedule my appointment. I then told him the message that he was calling about was over a week old and he told me it had not been that long but after looking back he realized I was correct but offered no apology. After getting back home I decided to call to find out what I would need to do to get my records and the lady was very nice and was asking why I was going to a different doctor? After telling her what I just went through she told me that I would need to fax in an authorization releasing my records. I then told her I could do that if there fax was working and she told me it was and that I must not have the correct number after giving it to her she asked me where I got the number and I told her it was on the direction sheet. It was at this time I realized I had made the correct decision. To sum it up. I lost an excellent doctor because of poor office management and staffing.
