- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪On Tuesday of this week (9/19/2017) we lost our beloved golden retriever Tequila. We are absolutely heartbroken over losing her. But we could not have asked for a more compassionate team of professionals than those that assisted us early that morning when we brought her in for care. It was her time, and after over 12 years of loving companionship and faithful friendship, she past. Just yesterday we received the kindest sympathy card from Dr. Darcey and the team at the clinic. On the card was Tequila's paw print in ink. One last physical memory of her for us to cherish. We were so moved when we read the card. Words cannot express our heart felt gratitude to the Emergency Animal Hospital of Collin County, Dr. Darcey, and the team that helped us through a very difficult time in our lives. - ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I had to put my dog down. The vet kept calling her a he even after I corrected him several times. They showed little compassion and picked my dog up and almost just flopped her on the table after she was sedated. They didn’t wait long enough to stop her heart and her body seized. That was more traumatic than actually putting her down. They are quick to get you to sign paperwork and hand over your credit card. The only good thing I can say is that they gave plenty of time for a goodbye that I decided was long enough. I know it is a business and they are there to make a profit, but there is something to be said about bedside manner, even for a Vet.May 28, 2017by Amanda Butcher
